My pal Julien sent over two new books from his crew, Modèle Puissance. The first is a zine by n’roll called, Serpan’s Advanture. The second is less a book and more a random selection of postcards called, Our God Is An Awesome God.

Café Royal
Craig Atkinson just sent me over a whole bunch of wicked zines from his wonderful publishing company Café Royal. Included are his books Reward, and Zero Gravity, Café Royal 4, Photodiaries by Paul Paper, Welcome to Prison by Zeroten, and The Shaved Guy by Lin Yi-Hsuan. If you’re into zines Café Royal may give you a heart attack.

I need this book. Translating Hollywood is a new book coming out by Sam Sarowitz. The book focuses on interesting and downright bizarre foreign movie posters for American films. I found this superb Japanese poster for Army of Darkness from the book, over at Posterwire. Only some crazy Japanese person would add those soup cans in there, a pun so bad that it borders on genius.
